Translation administrator request: DERDAKI ILIAS

[edit]

Hello,

I would like to request the translation administrator right on Wikimedia Commons.

I am currently working on organizing and maintaining Wikimedia campaign pages related to Morocco, including Commons:Wiki Loves Monuments 2026 in Morocco, and I regularly need to prepare pages and updated content for translation.

At the moment, some of these pages contain translation markup but still require a translation administrator to mark the page or its new changes for translation. Having this right would allow me to maintain these multilingual campaign pages more efficiently without having to ask another translation administrator each time an update is made.

I am familiar with the basic workflow of the Translate extension, including the use of <translate>, <languages/>, translation units, and marking new or changed content for translation. I understand that this right should be used carefully, especially when updating already translated pages.

I intend to use the permission mainly for Wikimedia Morocco campaign and project pages on Commons, including Wiki Loves Monuments and similar multilingual initiatives.

Thank you for considering my request.
